Here are some beauty product recommendations which should see you through the seasons. What works best for your skin is something you need to evaluate as only you know how your skin will react! If you like a more subtle look perhaps try The Body Shops latest compact foundation which comes in a lovely compact. You may have seen it before the festive season. Using something light means you really have to moisturize beforehand. Why? Well it makes the foundation go on better and smoother and also helps to keep your skin hydrated during the day. If you don't like to use powder then try one of the foundations recommended below. The key is to match to skin tone as much as possible and remember that your summer foundation may be too dark for winter as skin can be paler at this time of year.
One make-up that is used by many make-up artists for its staying power is Revlon's Colorstay liquid foundation. It comes in light with a SPF rating as well as Combination/Oily and Normal/dry so go into your local drug store or cosmetic outlet and try it. It is great as a base and then you can use a compact for touch ups. Also a very good combination is Maybelline's PURE foundation and compact powder and you can see these in our What's Hot page. We highly recommend both product ranges so test them at your local stores and see which one suits you best.
You can't go wrong with some great mascara. If you want volume and not that caked on look try a mascara such as L'Oreal Voluminous. Just one coat can be enough to enhance your eyelashes enough. It comes in ordinary and waterproof.
Eye Shadow
If you're shopping for a good eye shadow then look out for NYX. With 40 different shades to choose from with high pigment and great colours you can't go wrong. You can go dramatic or subtle with these shades. They are long lasting too which is good for the party season!. Want a little sparkle then check out The Body Shop's eye shadow cube which comes in a neat box holding four individual pots - a great idea.
